STAR CHEFS ON THE MENU AT STUDIO CITY


Macau – October 26, 2015 – A constellation of  celebrity ‘star chefs’ today served up a taste of the unique culinary experiences to be enjoyed at Studio City as they unveiled details of their signature restaurants, set to establish Asia’s Entertainment Capital as the ‘must-go’ gourmet dining destination in Macau.

 

Studio City’s roster of internationally acclaimed chefs, including multi Michelin-starred Chef Alain Ducasse; world-leading Chef Pâtissier Pierre Hermé; renowned master of Hawaii Regional Cuisine, the critically acclaimed Chef Alan Wong; ‘Global Chef Award’ winner, Chef Hidemasa Yamamoto; and World Champion of Chinese Cooking Gold Medalist Chef Tam Kwok Fung, will be joined by French Michelin-starred Chef Guillaume Galliot, executive chef of The Tasting Room at City of Dreams Macau, in preparing a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ dining experience for the Studio City Grand Opening Gala Dinner to be held on October 27.   

 

As befits a world-class center of entertainment in Macau, distinctive dining experiences also take center-stage. The star chefs are bringing singularly unique culinary delights to Studio City and Macau, catering to the most discerning of epicureans with an eclectic array of fine cuisine, so guests can truly  ‘dine like a star’.

 

Unique Signature Culinary Experiences

At a special media reception on the eve of Studio City’s grand opening, Chef Pâtissier Pierre Hermé, often described as the ‘Picasso of Pastry’, introduced the first Pierre Hermé Paris boutique in Macau.

 

Offering a true Parisian experience, the internationally-famed macaron collections of Pierre Hermé Paris will be available at The Boulevard at Studio City. Iconic flavor combinations such as “Ispahan” and “Mogador” as well as seasonal creations will be offered at the latest boutique in Macau but not only macarons – indulgent chocolates, unique confectionery treats, sumptuous cakes and more are to be discovered at the Studio City boutique.

 

“I am delighted at the opportunity to bring the Pierre Hermé Paris experience to Macau,” explained Chef Hermé. “Studio City and the Studio City Boulevard is the perfect place in Macau to discover my universe of tastes, sensations and pleasures.”

 

Chef Hidemasa Yamamoto has opened his first restaurant in Macau, ‘Hide Yamamoto’, at Studio City. He revealed the new restaurant’s four authentic dining experiences serve guests a taste of market fresh fish flown in daily from Tsukiji market at the sushi bar; a sizzling, tasty, teppanyaki; the highest quality Japanese ingredients including wagyu grilled to perfection at the robata station; and homemade ramen prepared through a 110-year-old traditional technique.

 

“I aim to bring a fun and enjoyable environment to ‘Hide Yamamoto’,” he said. “We aim to bring the spirit of ‘Tanoshi’ (fun) to all our guests.”

 

Chef Tam introduced his new ‘Pearl Dragon’ restaurant. Studio City’s signature Chinese restaurant, ‘Pearl Dragon’ offers a menu showcasing refined provincial Chinese flavors, innovative culinary creations and the finest delicacies to tempt the palate.

 

“Pearl Dragon showcases exquisite Cantonese specialties blended with an innovative modern menu offering the best in quality natural organic and farm-fresh ingredients from around the world,” explained Chef Tam. “We aim not only to satisfy your appetite, but also to cultivate your health and well-being, with a range of Chinese herbal soups specially prepared by professional Chinese herbal practitioners.”

 

 Celebrity Chefs Opening Restaurants in 2016

Two internationally-renowned culinary masters will be opening their restaurants at Studio City later in 2016.

 

With his restaurants awarded a combined total of 19 Michelin stars, Chef Alain Ducasse is one of the world’s most celebrated chefs. His new Macau restaurant at Studio City is designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon.

 

“I aim to deliver my own personal interpretation of a contemporary French cuisine - refined and elegant, using the best fish and shellfish as a base, explained Chef Ducasse. “The restaurant will reflect my philosophy of offering culinary pleasures and the arts of hospitality in order to satisfy the desires of Macau’s varied international customers, whilst providing light and bright dishes for everyday diners.”

 

Chef Alan Wong opens his ‘Alan Wong’ restaurant in Macau, bringing Hawaii regional cuisine to the territory for the first time, with a style that borrows from all the ethnic influences in Hawaii.

 

“I am excited to learn more about Macau and its Portuguese influences,” said Chef Wong. “I am looking forward to discover local tastes and flavors and hopefully give guests my own interpretation of local dishes, as well as the classic favorites that the people of Hawaii love.”
